Three men come together to form a tricycle of gaming; Jake, Brian, and Chase record another exciting episode of the Spoon Deep Podcast. There are a lot of things going on in the gaming world this week but we only have so many minutes to talk about gaming. Chase finally reveals why he enjoys the number 36 so much. We go where the winds take us for the this episode. Enjoy the show!
I wish there was more time to talk about video games. We spent a good amount of time talking about the Nintendo Labo, Fortnite, the Overwatch League, and upcoming game releases.
Who is interested in playing the piano with the Nintendo Labo? Perhaps Brian and I can do a duet with the Labo piano and his real piano. The show is looking for a new theme song!
Fortnite released an update to the map this week, and it’s awesome! The community wasn’t even asking for a map update and Epic still delivered.
The Overwatch League has Chase hot and bothered for the Blizzard’s latest hero shooter. Brian is cheering for the Seoul Dynasty, while I root for the New York Excelsior. Chase decided to pick the underdog team Houston Outlaws. We do the math and figure out that the teams will play 40 games during the season, so we have a long way to go.
Brian also struggles to explain Korean BBQ.
This Friday at 7pm EST the undefeated New York Excelsior face off against the undefeated Seoul Dynasty. I am excited to watch the game unfold!
This week we are all looking forward to Dragon Ball FighterZ (pronounced fighters). Ian does not actually like fighting games, in case you miss the sarcasm during the episode, but I am looking forward to playing as Vegeta, Trunks, and Freiza.
I’ll make a deal with myself, I will not buy another video game until I defeat Dark Souls III, I only have a few bosses left, but they might prove to be very difficult.
Chase is looking forward to Monster Hunter World and can not stop watching people play the beta on twitch.tv. We also discuss my future as a top tier streamer. If Chase won’t play all of the games, then I will play them for him.
Expect Spoon Deep to start streaming later this week with Dragon Ball FighterZ! You can follow me on twitch @prettyboypb
Immediately after we recorded the podcast we decided to play some Heroes of the Storm. We had a ball. I really enjoyed playing the Versus A.I. mode. We won three games and then switched to Quickplay where we won one match and then lost a nail biter at the last minute. In addition to some continued Overwatch articles, I might also write some Heroes of the Storm updates.
Thanks for listening, this was a really fun podcast to record. See you again next week!
Spoon Deep wants to be a driving force in the games industry. Each week we deliver a podcast that goes after the deep discussions and critical analysis of the video game industry. Hopefully, by talking about and discussing some of these key issues we can enlighten you about some of the things going on in the industry, as well as give our unique spin.
We hope each episode can highlight some of the great things happening in the industry, along with shining a light on some of the more negative aspects in the hope that things can change going forward
