Jake, Brian, and Chase join forces to discuss what the future may hold. We talk about what may happen to video games in 2018 and what games we will be playing. After a great holiday season it is time to think about the next holiday cycle and what games will be released and soon go on sale!
For this year’s predication championship we decided to wager a good old fashioned steak dinner. Sometime in 2019 or late 2018 the three of us will gather together for a steak dinner at Applebee’s. (Note: We are not sponsored or endorsed by Applebee’s in any way… yet.) If any of us are correct for our 2018 predictions then that person will get a free steak dinner! If we are all correct then we will buy Ian a steak dinner.
Note: Ian can also submit a prediction for 2018 to be entered in the contest and we will go over his thoughts next week.
In order to keep a live record of our predictions:
Jake: Microsoft will reveal a successor to the Kinect
Brian: Nintendo will announce a N64 classic BONUS: $79.99
Chase: Someone will try selling a game for more than $60
And there you have it. The future has been predicted. We then go into some more detail about whether certain games will be released. I also just realized that Pokémon Snap should be on the N64 classic!
Spoon Deep wants to be a driving force in the games industry. Each week we deliver a podcast that goes after the deep discussions and critical analysis of the video game industry. Hopefully, by talking about and discussing some of these key issues we can enlighten you about some of the things going on in the industry, as well as give our unique spin.
We hope each episode can highlight some of the great things happening in the industry, along with shining a light on some of the more negative aspects in the hope that things can change going forward
