Jake’s List of Video Game Completion 2017

I play a lot of video games.  Sometimes I complete them and sometimes I stop well before the end.  Just like I decided to keep a list of all the video games I purchased throughout 2017, I also decided to keep a list of all of the video games that I completed throughout the year.  You can compare the lists, to see how did versus the number of games that I bought.  I defined completion as reaching the end of the main storyline.  In games without a main story I counted completion as experiencing a majority of the content within the game.  For example I just reached 300/999 moons collected in Super Mario Odyssey, but I beat the main story line so I counted it, even though I still play it often!

I did a lot of catching up in 2017.  There were so many games on my list that I hadn’t finished that I had been looking forward to.  I finally got around to completing The Witcher III: Wild Hunt and then bought some of the books that the universe is based on.  Maybe I will finish the downloadable content in 2018.  I also went back and beat some Bethesda games in anticipation for their 2017 sequels.  What was I doing in August I wonder?  All told I beat 35 games in 2017 and can’t wait for all the games in 2018!

Do you notice any trends in my gaming?  How many games did you end up completing in 2017?
