Top 5 Exotic Weapons in Destiny 2

There are currently 19 exotic weapons in Destiny 2.  WOAH!  That is a lot.  It also takes a lot of luck to get them all.  Praise RNG for dropping sweet loot on our tables.  However, if you had to pick just 5, these are the ones to hope you get randomly!

Or maybe Xur will sell them and then you should buy them.

Sweet Business

“…I love my job”
Do you miss the machine gun weapon class from Destiny 1.  Well this is a machine gun in the Primary/Kinetic weapon slot!  It fires slow at first and then power up to extreme danger.

Wardcliff Coil

“Ingenuity. Desperation. A haphazard prototype of terrible power. Such were the factors at play in the Wardcliff Incident.”
A rocket launcher!  It is not Gjhallarhon, but damn does this thing do some work.  When the projectiles actually track their targets… sometimes they miss.

Graviton Lance

“Think of space-time as a tapestry on a loom.  This weapon is the needle”
Pulse rifles are not very good right now.  Therefore, this weapon is not very good.  But it is so fun to shoot things with that purple stuff.  Then they all explode!

“The latest Omolon engineering leverages liquid fuel as a coolant to keep weapon systems at biting subzero temperatures.”
Another very unique weapon that shoots laser beams.  All I wanted was a laser beam weapon, and this one delivered!  It even melts the enemies, or freezes them…

Tractor Cannon

“Property of Ishtar Collective.  WARNING: Gravity propulsor beam can cause serious injury or even death.
A shotgun that looks like the portal gun.  As a bonus it may cause injury to your enemies.  Also you can finally give the Taken Phalanx a taste of their own medicine.

These are my favorite weapons from Destiny 2 so far.  They are mostly fun to shoot, and that is the most important aspect.

What do you think?  Which guns did I miss?  Are there any Destiny 1 exotics that you hope make a comeback?

  1. #6: Merciless. Not only is it one of the best in the game, it’s also my Crucible go-to. It just feels so good to ramp this thing up in boss fights.

D1 comeback weapon of choice: Thunderlord. This is an especially tricky one, as machine guns aren’t currently in the game at all! I’m holding my breath.
